KSH 2000-2010

Horses we have bred:

Premier de Kegan

(Ilian de Taute x Penmerryl's Rose)

www.allbreedpedigree.com/premier+de+kegan

Chief was the first colt bred and produced by KSH. He has done a bit of eventing, running up to training level with his amateur owner. He is now owned by Barbara Riggs and enjoys being a hunt horse with Piedmont and Loudoun West in Virginia. Chief won the blue ribbon in the Foxhunter class at the Upperville show in 2015.

Kegans Black Sea RID

(Ebony Hill RID x Rhyds Sea Diamond RID)

We imported Onyx in utero, and he is the second colt we produced. He is now called Kegan and is owned by the Forrest family. He is a therapy horse serving disabled riders in Virginia.

Pacific was the third colt we bred, and we had big plans to keep him as a stallion prospect. Unfortunately, he passed away at 30 days old.

Kegan MacCruise

(Macha Breeze RID x Eireann Cruise RIDSH)

https://www.allbreedpedigree.com/kegan+maccruise

Paddy is the fourth colt we produced, and the first homebred for us--we owned both sire and dam at his conception and foaling. Paddy won a Future Event Horse competition as a long yearling, and a few other ribbons in hand. He is currently competing in Eventing with a variety of riders based out of Mobile, Alabama.

Horses we imported:

Eireann Cruise RIDSH

(Cruising x Macam)

We purchased Erin from Mary McCann in Ireland as a yearling, and imported her to the states in 2004. Erin produced one colt for us, Paddy. Erin is now living with Barbara Zylbert in California, where she is a broodmare for Kilfani Farm.

Rhyds Sea Diamond RID

(Rhyds Sea Quest x Rhyds Classic Diamond)

We purchased Diamond from England, and imported her pregnant with Onyx. She produced two colts for us before being sold to Jess Walker of Walkers Irish Draughts in Idaho. She has recently been retired from breeding at age 21 after producing 3 more foals.

Horses we owned:

Macha Breeze RID

(Grey Macha RID X A Light Breeze RID)

www.allbreedpedigree.com/macha+breeze

We purchased Mac in 2005, to be a competition horse for Megan as well as to stand him at stud. Megan competed him at the Beginner Novice Level and trail rode him all over the Mobile Alabama area before an injury to her back forced the sale of all of our breeding stock and riding horses in 2008. Mac produced a few foals while we owned him, Paddy was our only homebred by him. Mac now stands with Starting Point Farm in Mooreland, Georgia, where he is still producing quality Irish Draught foals.

Penmerryl's Rose of Piccadee

(Happy Ending RID x Aunt Rosa)

www.allbreedpedigree.com/penmerryls+rose+of+piccadee

Rose was the first Irish Draught Sport Horse we purchased, bred by Penmerryl Farm in Virginia. We bought her as a long yearling, raised her and did all the training on her. She produced one colt for us, Chief. Megan competed with Rose at the Beginner Novice Level of Eventing before selling her to Casey Driscoll of Mobile, Alabama. Casey later bred Rose, and we were able to help Casey learn all about how to deliver and raise a foal with the colt she produced. Rose was well loved until her untimely death a few years ago.

Barron's Piper

(Pipe Peddler x Barrons Girl)

www.pedigreequery.com/barrons+piper

We purchased Piper as a weanling to raise and train before breeding her to produce Irish Sport Horses. Life had other plans, and we ended up selling her as a three year old to be a competition prospect for Matthew Burkhart in Montgomery, Alabama. Unfortunately, we lost track of her when we moved in 2005. We would love any information as to the whereabouts of this mare.

Shadazon Moonlite

(Gai Gallizon x Andegor Shadula)

www.allbreedpedigree.com/shadazon+moonlite

Baby was the first foal Megan raised, and the first she trained from the ground up to the National level. A highly competitive hunter pleasure horse on the Arabian circut, Baby made the switch to jumping which took them to the Arabian National Show in 2000. Baby later sparked Megan's love for Eventing, showing great promise for the sport before an untimely injury in 2005 forced his early retirement. He later became the best kid horse you could ever ask for, teaching our daughter all about how to ride and care for horses. He was well loved until his death in 2019.
