"Irene" came to us in March 2026 from Cabin White Farm in North Carolina. She is one of a very small number of Jumbo daughters still alive, and one of two that we know of in the USA. We hope to get a foal from her in the future to retain her bloodlines in our herd.
Below are some phoros of Irene in her younger years. Photos courtesy of Cabin White Farm.
Photos below are of Irene's progeny. All four of her progeny are by warmblood stallions and bred by Cabin White Farm.

Irene's sire, Jumbo, was a stunning black stallion that competed in Eventing, Dressage, Show Jumping and even foxhunted while he was alive. His progeny have achieved success in eventing around the world, most notably Headley Britannia, the only mare to win Badminton, Burghley and Kentucky 5*, and Avebury consecutive three-time winner of Burghley.

"JUMBO proved himself to be an outstanding sire of sport horses passing on his athleticism, trainability, temperament and jump. He is the leading ‘all time sire’ of competition horses in British Eventing (BE) as well as the leading BE ‘all time sire’ of competing mares. For seven years, since their inception in 2008 to 2014, he was ranked in the top ten of the World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses (WBFSH) sire ranking (eventing) and for six of those was the highest ranked British-bred stallion."
