Onyx is by Ebony Hill RID, who is by Touch of the Blues RID out of a Coleman RID daughter. Touch Of The Blues
RID was  NASTA performance tested in England and was awarded a Grade 1 status.   He very successfully
competed at Intermediate level Eventing in England, and has produced graded show jumpers and eventers
worldwide.  Touch of the Blues RID has produced numerous approved daughters and sons, in three countries.
Coleman is a relatively rare, but very influential ID bloodline.  Ebony Hill RID carries no King of Diamonds RID or
Clover Hill RID blood, making him a complete outcross for many ID mares.

Onyx's dam is
Rhyds Sea Diamond RID, who is by Rhyds Sea Quest RID and out of Rhyds Classic Diamond AID.
Sea Quest is by the great Sea Crest RID.  Rhyds Sea Quest RID was not competed himself, but his full brother,
the stallion Sir Rivie RID, is a Grade A show jumper with points and money earned at the Grand Prix level with the
Show Jumping Association of Ireland.  Sea Crest RID was a Grade A show jumper with the Show Jumping
Association of Ireland.  He produced three approved purebred sons, and a handful of approved purebred
daughters, but is most well known for producing Cruising IDSH.  Cruising IDSH was an international Grand Prix
winner, who in turn has produced numerous International Grand Prix Show Jumpers and International level
Eventers worldwide.  Sea Crest RID is considered to be another outcross ID bloodline.

Rhyds Sea Quest RID's dam is Ginger Anne RID by Ginger Dick RID.  Ginger Dick RID was a grade A show
jumper with Show Jumping Association of Ireland, and has produced numerous Graded Show Jumpers and
Eventers in Ireland, along with a handful of approved for breeding sons and daughters.

Rhyds Classic Diamond AID is by Shaunas Diamond RID. Shauna's Diamond RID is a Grade 1 stallion approved
with the Sport Horse Breeding Of Great Britain, scoring the second highest score of his testing out of 40 entries.
He won over 500 Pounds and Grade C with the British Show Jumping Association, and has produced numerous
graded Show Jumpers and Eventers in the UK  He has produced numerous sons and daughters approved for
breeding around the world, his most notable being the great sire from the UK, Roma Diamond Skip RID.

With a pedigree that reads like a "who's who" of International Show Jumping and Eventing, this colt has been
bred to perform. He will be suitable for Show Jumping or Eventing, and has an Amateur suitable personality.

This colt represents the ONLY combination of these bloodlines available WORLDWIDE.  This cross will never be
repeated due to breeding restrictions. Other breeders may come close, but the magic is in the combination of
these excellent performers.  This foal will be an asset to any breeding program as it combines not one, but TWO
complete outcross lines through Touch of the Blues and Sea Crest.

Onyx has been sold to Charles and Susan Yates of Tully Cross Farm of MD.

News Flash!  Onyx, now known as "Keegan" has won the IDHS (NA) Purebred colt foal class at the 2005 National
Show.  The Irish Judges called him "a lovely, lovely colt!".  Congratulations to Tully Cross Farm!
