Eireann Cruise RIDSH
2003 IDSH mare by Cruising IDSH x Macam IDSH (3 generations of 50% ID and 50% TB)

"Erin" was presented for approval with the IDHSNA in 2006, where she was approved with an excellent score.  She scored "excellent" for pedigree, temperament, and type.  Irish Judges praised her exceptional pedigree, saying she was "bred purple"!  Thank you to Martin Deer and Bridon Irish Draughts for producing her for this inspection. Martin also got Erin 's under saddle career underway in 2006 with 90 days of basics. She came home solidly going at the walk, trot, and canter under saddle after her inspection. True to Irish custom, we turned her away to finish maturing over the fall and winter.

PEDIGREE INFORMATION:
Go To Erin's Pedigree

Erin 's sire, Cruising, has a International Show Jumping record that speaks for it's self. His winnings included: the World Cup Qualifiers in Geneve and Millstreet, placed 8th in the individual finals at ROMA and had additional wins in Aachen , Preis der Nation en and the Land Rover Grand Prix, der Schweitzer. Cruising winnings in 1999 continued. Winning Kronen Champions Cup in Germany ; Der Grosse Preis von Aachen, and the Kerrygold Nations Cup in Dublin . In addition he has placed in the top 10 of 12 additional World Cup Qualifiers, and CSI competitions. Cruising ranked as high as 8th among show jumpers world wide as reported by World Breeding Federation of Sport Horses. (WBFSH rankings Dec, 1999).

Not only has Cruising achieved success in the International Grand Prix arena, he is producing the Grand Prix stars of the future. His progeny include the show jumpers Cruiseline, Point Blank, Rinc Cula Abu, Cruiseway, Sails Away, World Cruise, Askoll Rosa VIII, Cruising Girl, and Sail Rain.

Cruising's sire, Sea Crest RID was a grade A show jumper in Ireland (having earned 276 SJAI points), and has produced many other Grade A show jumpers and eventers in addition to Cruising. Sea Crest's purebred son, Sir Rivie RID, is one example of his ability to produce winning Grade A Show Jumpers. Cruising's dam was the international Grand Prix winner, Mullacrew, owned by the Irish Army.

Erin 's dam, Macam, is by Coille Mor Hill RID. Coille Mor Hill is by Clover Hill RID, and is a Grade A Show Jumper, having earned over 900 SJAI points, and produced progeny earning almost 1300 SJAI points. Macam's dam is by the great TB stallion Chair Lift (who's
progeny have earned over 2800 SJAI, 85 Eventing, and 139 Dressage points) and out of an RID mare by Laughton RID.

As you can see, Erin was bred for International competition. The first three generations of Erin's pedigree have produced progeny earning over 32,000 Show Jumping, 1100 Eventing, and 660 Dressage points (as recorded by the Irish Horse Board).  It is our hope that this mare will represent the Irish Draught in international competition someday.

Erin is currently for sale. See Sales page for more information.

  PERFORMANCE INFORMATION:
Erin went back to work in September 2007. She is still green, but progressing quickly. She shows great potential to live up to her pedigree. Her career will begin in 2008 at the lower levels of eventing, which will allow her to experience all three disciplines. We will be carefully watching Erin 's reaction to each discipline to help determine her ultimate career path.
